breaks easily

So im really torn as to how many stars to give. Its beautiful, price was right, and its real gold. The bad part is it hollow and VERY light. i have owned it for about a month and it has three smashed links already. I guess i bumped my arm on something. Really flimsey. My daughter has necklace and it broke after 2 weeks. You cant fix it because its too thin to weld back together. The only fix is for jeweler to add another link of some sort to connect it. It wont be the same again.
